Server

Skilled and friendly waiter/waitresses play a big role in creating and providing the best customer experience and satisfaction. Your ultimate goal should be to provide an exceptional guest experience.

Job Purpose

Responsible for taking orders and serving food and beverages to guests. They play an important role in guest satisfaction as they are also responsible for checking on customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Recommending specials and promotions to guests.
  • Always strive towards best customer satisfaction.
  • Greet customers and present menus.
  • Make suggestions based on their preferences.
  • Take and serve food/drinks orders.
  • Up-sell when appropriate.
  • Arrange table settings.
  • Keep tables clean and tidy at all times.
  • Check products for quality.
  • Deliver checks and collect payments.
  • Cooperate and communicate with all serving and kitchen staff.
  • Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines.

Pay Rate

75% of personal automatic gratuity from each shift.
25% of gratuity goes to the house.
You receive 100% of credit card tips.

**If you work between Tuesday – Friday from 11a-6pm , you are paid an additional $10/hr for the first 5hrs of your shift.**

Host/Hostess

This position is responsible for greeting guests at the door. The host/hostess seats and presents clean menus to guests in a friendly, professional and quick manner.

Job Purpose

Increase the number of Dine After Nine members if you work after 9pm. Ensure televisions are showing advertising, movies or music videos. Take pictures of guests at request. Ensure guests are comfortable and enjoy their dining experience.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guests, informs them of specials.
  • Treats all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strives to exceed guests’ expectations.
  • Takes names on a waiting list.
  • Runs the floor plan board.
  • Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables.
  • Busses and resets tables.
  • Takes guest information and establishes wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.
  • Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at host area.
  • Answers phone and answers questions concerning the menu and restaurant.
  • Interacts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experience.
  • Fills to-go orders,
  • Maintains restrooms throughout shift.
  • Sweeps foyer and front entrance area frequently.
  • Performs other duties as directed.
  • Sign up new members using the hand-held after 9pm. This can be promoted throughout the day as well but strictly enforced after 9pm. Host/hostess must be 21+ if working after 9pm

Base Pay $10-$12hrly plus 1% of total food sales

Bartender

A bartender is a hospitality professional that serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Bartenders are responsible for preparing and serving drinks to customers while ensuring exceptional customer service and adhering to legal and safety regulations. Must have 2 weeks of server experience at Yo Chef Surf and Turf prior to training. Bartenders must go through two weeks of additional training after onboarding and be approved by Bar Lead, Server Lead and CEO.

Job Purpose

The primary purpose of a bartender in a restaurant is to enhance the overall dining experience for customers by providing exceptional beverage service.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, mixed drinks, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Take customer orders, provide recommendations, and ensure accurate recording of orders.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including restocking supplies.
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, process payments, and manage tabs efficiently.
  • Provide excellent customer service, engage with customers, and accommodate their needs.
  • Follow responsible alcohol service practices, verify legal drinking age, and refuse service to intoxicated individuals.
  • Collaborate with other staff members, including servers, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to upsell premium beverages and promote specials.
  • Clean and maintain bar equipment and glassware.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and keep records of sales and tips.

60% of personal automatic gratuity from each shift + 100% of additional credit card/cash tips + 3% of total alcohol sales

Food Truck Team Opportunities

Line Cook

A line cook and assembly person is a skilled culinary professional who works in a restaurant’s kitchen, specifically on the “line,” which refers to the area where dishes are assembled and cooked before being served to customers. Line cooks are responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, often working under the guidance of a head chef or sous chef.

Job Purpose

As a Line Cook and assembly person, you will play a vital role in the preparation and delivery of our signature surf and turf dishes. Your culinary expertise and attention to detail will contribute to creating exceptional dining experiences for our customers.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of high-quality surf and turf dishes according to standardized recipes and specifications.
  • Adhere to proper food handling, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure the highest standards of food quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service during peak hours.
  • Set up and stock your station with all necessary supplies and ingredients before each shift.
  • Monitor food inventory levels and communicate any shortages to the kitchen manager or supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and utensils.
  • Assist in the creation and testing of new menu items, as directed by the executive chef.
  • Execute cooking techniques with precision and consistency to deliver dishes that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure accurate and timely ticket execution.

Food Truck Salesperson

A Food Truck Salesperson is an individual responsible for promoting and securing bookings for a food truck business. This role involves reaching out to potential clients, event organizers, and partners to discuss catering and food truck services. The salesperson provides detailed information about the menu, pricing, availability, and coordinates with the operations team to ensure successful event execution. They play a pivotal role in expanding the food truck’s customer base, establishing relationships within the local community, and driving business growth by generating leads, following up with potential clients, and closing sales. Effective communication, relationship-building skills, and a passion for the culinary industry are essential for success in this role.

Job Purpose

As the Food Truck Salesperson, you will play a crucial role in promoting our offerings, building customer relationships, and expanding our customer base. Salespeople drive the truck to venues and must have a valid driver’s license. Salespeople are servers at venues and are responsible for making sure we sell every product on the truck.

  • Actively promote our food truck services to potential clients, event organizers, and partners.
  • Generate leads and identify opportunities for food truck bookings at various events, festivals, and private gatherings.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network within the local community to drive new business opportunities.

Food Truck Lead

Food Truck Lead to oversees the operation of our mobile culinary experience. This role involves reaching out to potential clients, event organizers, and partners to discuss catering and food truck services. The salesperson provides detailed information about the menu, pricing, availability, and coordinates with the operations team to ensure successful event execution. They play a pivotal role in expanding the food truck’s customer base, establishing relationships within the local community, and driving business growth by generating leads, following up with potential clients, and closing sales. Effective communication, relationship-building skills, and a passion for the culinary industry are essential for success in this role.

Job Purpose

As the Food Truck Lead, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the food truck, ensuring exceptional customer service, and delivering our signature surf and turf dishes on the go. Leads work with the Executive Chef to ensure employees are scheduled on ConnectTeam for events.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead the food truck team by example, setting high standards for customer service, food quality, and teamwork.
  • Oversee all aspects of daily food truck operations, from prep to service and cleanup.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering supplies, tracking stock levels, and minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate closely with the culinary team to maintain the consistent quality of our menu items.
  • Ensure the food truck and equipment are meticulously clean, well-maintained, and comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Greet customers with a friendly demeanor, take orders, and provide menu information.
  • Handle cash transactions, maintain sales records, and manage the cash register accurately.
  • Train and onboard new team members, providing guidance on food prep, customer service, and operating procedures.
  • Schedule shifts and assign tasks to food truck staff, including cooks and servers.
